Classic Theme ~ Elgg Theme for Elgg 1.8, 1.9, 1.10, 1.11, and 1.12.

Classic Theme has a clean blog-focused front page. The large image allows you to personalise the theme for your website,  and could easily be swapped for a content slider.   I’ve made it easy for you to make small changes to the theme that will create a look that is unique to your website, eg: the text colour can be changed – via the settings page – and instructions are provided for changing the background colours and images.

I have made changes to the design of the blog pages, and looked at how the members of the website can create ‘page identity’.

This is the “All Site Blogs” page.  It belongs to everybody and has no page header image:

Here is the front page for  ‘Peter’s Blogs’.  Peter is able to upload his own image to appear on the top of his blog and profile pages…

Here is an example of another member’s ‘Blog Post’ page:

This next image shows how the profile page looks with a personalised header image.  There is an “Edit Page Image” button – on the logged-in-users profile page – underneath the “Edit Avatar” button.

I have left the Activity page business-like and plain:

Finally, I have designed the Walled Garden page to match the rest of the theme:
